Our Philosophy

  • Grid Nirvana is a not-for-profit organisation
  • You may donate to the running of Grid Nirvana through its website
  • Grid Nirvana is a friendly group of nice people
  • You may visit Grid Nirvana via the Hypergrid (Currently HG 2.0)

Joining Grid Nirvana

New residents may only join through referral (Region Owner) and approval (Grid Manager) People may only host regions on the grid with approval from the Grid Managers
Abuse will not be tolerated and may result in a ban

Definitions


Grid Managers

This group of people consist of those who manage the ROBUST server (or equivalent) and layout of the grid.

Region Owners

This group of people consist of the Region Server owners and are granted access to the ROBUST Server services by the Grid Managers

Residents

Friends of Grid Managers or Region Owners granted access to Grid Nirvana by Grid Managers on recommendation or referral by a Grid Managers or Region Owners

Travellers

Visitors to Grid Nirvana via the Hypergrid. We welcome peaceful friendly Travellers to Grid Nirvana. Grid Managers and Region Owners have little control over Travellers and must protect their IP via the tools provided.

The RulesCopyrights

  • Travellers, Region Owners and Grid Managers shall not import copy-right protected items without prior permission of the copy-right owner
  • Please review your land for items that are not of your creation
  • Please delete items for which you do not have copy-right permission
  • If you visit Grid Nirvana to find your creations that you did not give permission for use, please follow these steps
  • Contact the region owner and request removal
  • Confirm removal and your acceptance
  • Sometimes things go wrong and resolution is needed, in these circumstances
  • Please contact one of the Grid Managers for resolution

Security

Grid Nirvana is on the Hypergrid
  • Grid security is the responsibility of the content owners
  • We welcome Travellers from other grids
  • It is important that you protect your creations using the permissions provided
  • You are responsible for the security of your creations
  • The grid permissions work, use them!

Updates


Grid Nirvana is developing all the time. Occasionally new files will be issued to bring your Region Server up to the latest specification.
  • It is your responsibility to keep your Region Server up to the specification laid out by the Grid Managers
  • Where possible Grid Managers will give assistance to Region Owners to maintain their Region Servers to the correct specification
  • Keeping Region Servers up to the correct specification is essential for correct grid operation.

If you do not agree with the above rules then you have the right to leave the Grid and your account will be suspended pending your acceptance
